NOTHING LIL’

ABOUT THIS

BROWN GIRL!

Lil’ Brown Girl is where good food, great beer, and community come together. Born from a partnership between Métier Brewing Company and That Brown Girl Cooks!, Lil’ Brown Girl brings the flavors, stories, and spirit of Seattle’s Central District to the table. Serving up beloved dishes from That Brown Girl Cooks! and COMMUNION, the menu celebrates soul food, family traditions, and the diverse cultural influences that make Seattle unique.

At the heart of it all is Chef Kristi Brown, whose decades-long culinary journey has helped shape Seattle’s food scene through her signature approach to Seattle Soul cuisine. Alongside her son and business partner, Damon Bomar, she has built more than restaurants; she has created spaces where food connects people, honors Black culture, and keeps community at the center.

That same spirit carries through the partnership with Rodney Hines, founder of Métier Brewing Company, whose commitment to community and representation makes this collaboration a natural fit. Together, these Black-owned businesses are creating something bigger than a place to grab a bite and a beer: a space that celebrates culture, connection, and the people who make this neighborhood home.

Chef Lynn Lewis leads the kitchens at That Brown Girl Cooks! and Lil’ Brown Girl, bringing Chef Kristi Brown’s vision to life through soulful cooking that honors tradition, celebrates culture, and brings people together.
